XCAT Simulation

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I am running an XCAT phantom(128 ×128 ×128 pixel width = 0.300 (cm/pixel)
slice width = 0.1500 (cm/pixel)) SPECT simulation in SIMIND.

The attenuation, projection and scattering figure look right, but the reconstruction quality should be a bit poor.

I suspect there is a problem with .smc parameter Settings?
Who can help me get to the root of the problem?

If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Cheng,

This is probably due to SIMIND 8.0 updating the interfile format to express collimator dimensions in mm instead of cm. If you change the units at the bottom of the h00 files, this bug should be fixed. I’ll also account for this in the newest version of PyTomography.

Dear Luke

In fact, I have changed the parameters of the.h00 file to make the units uniform

I feel like maybe it’s a setup error? Or who can give me a correct SPECT parameter?

Thanks
Cheng
